Iftaar dinner hosted by Ambassador in honour of Shri Srikant K. Jena, Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers – 12 July, 2013

Ambassador of India, Mrs. Nagma M. Mallick hosted an Iftaar dinner in honour of Mr. Srikant K. Jena, Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers during his visit to Tunisia on 12th July, 2013 at India House in Carthage. HE Mr. Mehdi Jomaa, Minister of Industry and HE Mr. Abdellatif Mekki, Minister of Health were the senior ministers who graced the event. Mr. Hedi Ben Abbes, Diplomatic Advisor to the President , several deputies of the National Constituent Assembly and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present.

Mr. Raouf Khalsi, Editor-in-Chief of Le Temps, Mr. Foued Allani, Editor-in-Chief (International Relations) of La Presse, representing the two leading French-language dailies and other representatives of the media were among the guests. Mr. Tahar Khouaja, CEO of GCT & CPG, the Tunisian partner companies of TIFERT, Mr. Kais Daly, former CEO of GCT & CPG, senior officials of TIFERT, senior representatives of the Indian joint venture partner companies Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited and Coromandel International Limited were also present as were senior representatives of African Development Bank as well as a cross-section of Tunisian dignitaries including Dr. Hechemi Louzir, President of Institut Pasteur, Prof. Salem Abdeljelil, Rector of Zaitouna University, Dr. Farhat Ben Ayed, President, Tunisian Cancer Association, Mr. Mounir Mouakhar, President of the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Nacef Belkhiria, prominent entrepreneur. An Indian dinner was served with well-appreciated Indian delicacies to help the guests celebrate Ramadan with Indian cuisine.
