The 5th Foreign office Consultation (FOC) between India & Tunisia was co-chaired by Secretary (CPV&OIA) from Ministry of External Affairs Dr. Ausaf Sayeed and Secretary of State in Tunisia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration & Tunisians Abroad Mr Mounir Ben Rjiba on 17th May, 2023 in Tunis.

Both sides reviewed entire gamut of relations, including political and commercial exchanges, cultural and people to people tie and discussed regional and multilateral issues of mutual interest.

Secretary (CPV&OIA), Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, also held discussions with Mr.Ridha Chalghoum, DG of GCT, a PSU of Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines. GCT is a partner in India Tunisia Fertiliser SA (TIFERT) for production of phosphatic fertilizers.

Another milestone in India Tunisia bilateral relations with signing of Cultural exchange programme (CEP) by Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Secretary (CPV&OIA), Ministry of External Affairs and Ms. Hayet Guettat Guermazi, Minister of Cultural Affairs of Tunisia.

The CEP encompasses collaboration in a wide range of areas, including theatre, dance, music, exhibitions, archaeology, museums, literature, festivals, among others between the two sides.

Secretary (CPV&OIA) Dr. Ausaf Sayeed was received by Mme Ahlem Bou Sandel,  contemporary artist at the Museum of the City of Culture. Dr. Ausaf visited the Museum and the Opera Theater of Tunis.
