Passport Services

Embassy of India, Tunis provides Indian Passport services to Indian nationals present only in Tunisia and Libya.
Passport applications are required to be filled online at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in by following the procedure given below:

• Applicants are required to do one time registration at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in after selecting Tunisia.
• A user id will be generated after the registration is completed.
• Login using the user id and fill in the online form at the same portal.
• After completing the online form, take a printout of the application.
• Affix latest photo and put signatures at the designated place. The specimen signatures provided in the form should not be more than 1.5 cms in height and 4.5 cms in width.
• Submit the application, the prescribed fees and the required documents at the Embassy of India, Tunis.

Documents required for renewal of passport:

• Passport application.
• Present Passport in original.
• Four photographs (size 4 cm X 4 cm)
• Proof of Residence, viz., Resident Permit or local ID Card (original and one photocopy).
• A sworn affidavit stating that the applicant has not acquired any foreign nationality (only in case of long-term residents abroad). 
• Prescribed fee.
• A copy of Indian identity proof viz Birth certificate, Aadhar Card, Pan card.

Note:

• Application of renewal of a passport can be made within one year before or after the expiry of the validity of the current passport or when visa pages on the current passport has expired.
• The above list of documents is not exhaustive and Embassy of India, Tunis reserves the right to ask for any further documentation on case-to-case basis.  

Documents required for fresh passport to minor children below the age of 18 year:

• Passport application duly signed by both the parents.
• Certificate of Registration of Birth of the applicant, duly translated in Hindi or English. Birth of a child must be registered with the Embassy of India, Tunis within one year of the date of birth.
• Copies of passports of both the parents.
• Four photographs (size 4 cm X 4 cm)
• Proof of Residence of the parents, viz., Resident Permit or local ID Card (original and one photocopy).
• Prescribed fee.

Miscellaneous Services on Indian Passports: For services such as Police Clearance Certificate, deletion of ECR stamp, etc., following documents are required to be furnished:

• Duly filled application form available at the link https://www.embassyofindiatunis.gov.in/pdf/external2.pdf.
• Valid passport in original along with a photocopy.
• Prescribed fee.

No availability of Tatkal Service: Kindly note that passports are printed in India and then sent to the Embassy for delivery to the applicants. Therefore, no ‘Tatkal’ Service is provided by the Embassy of India, Tunis.
